FEEDBACK
✧ In my Final poster, I did not include any ingredients in them. And after looking through senior's posters, I've decided to ask Ms Anis for her opinion.

Sketches

✧ The art style will be lineless & with more of a hand-drawn feel with grainy effects. I've decided to go with Kyle's pencil brush set in photoshop in order to achieve the look & feel for this poster.

Project 01 (B) Motion Graphic (15.02.2022)
✧ We are to translate what was on the poster into a motion graphic. I did not include the ingredients in the original poster, so I went about sketching and illustrated a set of ingredients needed for the motion graphic video. It would seem abrupt if I did not add this in, I have also asked for Ms Anis's opinion and she thinks the same too.

✧ I then organised and came up with the storyboard in Ai. I've reused the background in the poster, I've used the clipping mask to cut off the unnecessary parts. I've cropped and imported the illustrations from Photoshop as individual layers in preparation for the animation process.

✧ I've separated Ai files for each frame so that they can be imported with ease. This knowledge was gathered while i worked on the comic project in Semester 1.

✧ Like the previous project, I used colours to differentiate the different frames
Fig 5.2 & 5.3 Ae work station
✧ I've learnt of a shortcut effect: "CC Ripple Effect" that I used on the fire, the saute and the boiling water as an effort to make it lively without going back to Ai to create new files.

✧ By using position on the transformation bar, I've made the pasta appeared from the side.

Week 06: Poster review (08.02.2022)
Lecturer's Feedback:
✧ The text distortion on Fig 1.1o too much, the overall poster looks alright, adjust the title to be simple

REFLECTIONS
This was a fun project to work on. In the past class sessions, I learnt about how I can gather the data efficiently as well as the chunking method. We were then instructed to pick a granny to base our project on, I've picked Claudia, mainly because I have not heard of the "Sholelace" pasta before and it intrigued me. Claudia was also very enjoyable to watch as she uses ingredients that can be found fairly easily. I had a vision in mind and went about sketching it out, then I proceeded to determine which information I could potentially merge together to form point forms. There was also a specific art style that I really want to use for this project. The pencil brush set I've used gave a hand-drawn and friendly feel to the overall poster. After a month of not touching After Effects, I was thrown back on it again. The starting of the motion graphic process was hard on me as I struggled to remember the inner workings and shortcut keys that I've applied for the comic project in Semester 1. Rewatching Mr Martin's tutorial clips helped freshen my memory. I really like how it turned out in the end.
