✧ We faced some technical issues with one of our project
outcomes, the AR Instagram Filter. We had an emergency
consultation with Ms Jinchi to discuss the problem we faced.
------------------------------------------------
Emergency Meeting Notes
1. Create an Infographic layout (A3 size)
- have some information of the filter design (ms jinchi said
left but we can do our own placement)
- put all our list of questions (ms jinchi said right but we
can do our own placement)
- Screenshot of Wanda (wat the filter looks like)
Design overall needs to reflect back to our DOD style and
concept
2. Reflection
- put in ss of Wanda’s trial filter & talk about technical
glitches
3. Provide link in full detailed PDF
* * disclaimer there is technical issues written in fine print
(small text)
4. For presentation
So long as we answer why design important, why it relates back
to our concept
------------------------------------------------
✧ Ms Jinchi advice us to create an Infographic Poster to show
case this part of our project and also let the public know that,
yes they can play the Instagram Filter game but to keep in mind
that there will be a slight glitch.
✧ I created this poster with the help of the information given to
me by my groupmates.

REFLECTIONS
“There is always a different story behind what is known
on the surface.” This phrase is a simplified version of
how I feel about this module. The beneficial part of
this module is that we were exposed to explore other
cultures that we were unaware of or had little to no
knowledge of other than what was on the facet. To
educate and indulge in the world of the cultures we were
all unfamiliar with and came out with ample knowledge
about the culture. Through this project, I learnt to
differentiate what is a part of the culture, and what is
not, and to identify elements that were borrowed and
misused, in this case, the "La Catrina" being adapted
into Halloween costumes. This part reminds me of the
research I did in Task 02 where big companies like
Barbie & Nike borrowed and profited from the
culture, and as Erica (our Mexican-American interviewee)
mentioned, these companies could have gave back a little
of the profit to the culture. A weakness I've noticed in
myself is that I kept forgetting and lost track of which
sites I've taken the research phrases from, as
referencing the original material is fairly vital. This
project pushed me to take more notes & analyse items
more in-depth as so to produce a clearer understanding
which leads to a better outcome! Because my team mates
and I also share the same team as Infographic Design, we
had a hard time dividing the attention & time to
both projects. It would be great if there was more time
to work on the project & flush out all our ideas
more thoroughly! Atlas, I am very satisfied with our end
results & the work my teammates have came up with!
