REFLECTIONS
Experience
This might be the most challenging module of the semester, just because this module is the heaviest among the 5 modules I was taking. Like always I like to say, my parents did not raise me as a quitter but a challenger (aka I really experience the racing against the time shamaz this semester). There were a lot of things that I coul have done better if given more time and me handling less modules... But neverthless! I made it to the end and here are my thoughts for this semester.
Observations
My favourite task of all, is the 1st exercise. I like how we got to learn more in depth about what are the each typographic systems and how we could adhere to it. Though it might be a constraint to someone but i do think it is what that will help to generate a better and systematic layout. Like what i mentioned in semester 1, people really do take fonts for granted, with this semester we did generated 2 types of font. Out of the two, the last task was the one that i struggled a lot with. I refined my old font design into a full and completed typeface.
Findings
It was challenging in the sense that I tried my best in the consistency part and with each of the letter's line width. Favourite type design of the semester? I have to pick Key Artwork for sure, it not only is something that we could use in the future, it also examines our ability to create collectibles. This i think is a glimpse into packaging design. Overall, this semester was filled with ups and downs, but to conclude, typography is super vital in design, it is the basic, the bone of how we could better convey our design, hence i really like the experience of creating all the task for this semester!
